There is a lot that happens before a new Trapperholic collection ever reaches the website.
Recently, part of the Trapperholic team spent time with our manufacturers, getting into the details of what comes next.
Not just looking at samples.
Talking through them.

THE DETAILS MATTER
The conversations around a new collection go much deeper than deciding what something should look like.
We spent time going through materials, construction, fit, finishes and how each piece should actually come together.
A small change in the weight of a fabric can completely change how a piece sits.
A different cut can change the entire feel.
The way something is finished can be the difference between a piece looking good in a sample and actually feeling right when someone puts it on.
That is why we spend the time.
We would rather get something right than rush it out.

The number has a significance that will become clearer as the collection comes together, but for now, we are keeping some of that story close.
What matters is that there is meaning behind the details.
We don't want every part of a collection to be immediately explained. Some things are better when the people who understand them recognise them for themselves.
FROM THE FACTORY TO THE FINISHED PIECE
Being able to sit down directly with the people manufacturing the collection gives us the opportunity to challenge things, refine things and talk through the small details that can easily get missed.
The goal is simple.
Take the ideas we have in our heads and make sure they actually translate into the finished product.

The next Trapperholic collection is already taking shape.
We are still working through the details, making changes and figuring out exactly where we want it to go.
But that's the point.
The collection you eventually see is the result of everything that happens before it.
And we're putting the work in now.
